Traffic Jam.

It is seven o’clock in the evening, everyone is going home, the whole road full of cards, trucks, motorcycles and other vehicle, everyone wants to go home, to stay company with their family and friends, and when there is too much cars on the road, the road gets stuck, and that is — Traffic Jam.
Have you ever been stuck in traffic jam? I think that is the worst thing of all! You just sit in your car, and do nothing, it is quite boring, you know? And sometimes, when you are in a hurry, and you meet traffic jam, I think I will cry, and get crazy.
If you want to avoid traffic jam, you can use mass transportation , for example: bus or MRT, it can reduce some cars on road; or you can avoid the road or time that often jam. For example: you must go to school before seven thirty, but you always meet traffic jam at seven twenty, so you will be late, if you want to avoid traffic jam, you can set off earlier, then maybe you won’t be late.
Actually, there is always a way to avoid traffic jam, if you unfortunately meet it, don’t just sat there and do nothing, read some books, watch a movie, listen to music, if you find something to do, maybe traffic jam isn’t very bad.

When there are too many cars on the road. The road gets congested. The cars are stuck on the road. That is what we call a traffic jam. When there is traffic jam, it is impossible to go home.

For example, you have to go to school before seven thirty, but you always caught in a traffic jam at seven twenty and so you always arrive late in the class. To avoid the traffic jam, set off early. Then maybe you would not be late.
ReplyDeleteActually, there is always a way to avoid traffic jam. If you unfortunately meet it head on, do not just sit there and do nothing. Read some books, watch a movie or listen to the music. If you find something else to do, maybe traffic jam would not be very bad.

I think Greek mythology is very interesting. It introduces us to a lot of ancient Greek stories. I love those stories very much. I remember when I was in the fourth grade, my cousin recommended a wonderful novel entitled “ Percy Jackson.” It is a very great novel. It talks about Greek mythology.
The main character is Percy — the son of Poseidon. He can breathe in and control water. His complete name is Perseus Jackson.
Do you think that his name is familiar?
That’s right. He is an ancient Greek hero.
The author of this book, Rick Riordan , used this hero’s name and his legacy to be the main character of his book and to retell a modern version of the mythology based on the original Greek methology scenario.
The book Percy Jackson is a really good novel. It made me understand and enjoy Greek mythology. I learn a lot of about Greek gods, heroes and monsters. I found out that Greek mythology is not boring after all.
In Greek mythology, there are twelve gods. They are Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hermes, Demeter, Dionysus, Ares, Hephaestus, Athena, Aphrodite, Apollo and Artemis. My favorite god is Athena. She is very wise and very good in battle. In the book, we were also introduced to Anna Beth, Athena’s daughter. And I like her, too.
Greek mythology is not just an interesting legend. It contains ancient people’s emotion, and wisdom. It tells us how this world was created. I wish I can read more books about Greek mythology and learn more about it.

I totally agree with what Edison had said.
In this world, nothing is fair. Somebody is born to be smarter than someone else. Can we say,”It’s unfair!”? Maybe we could. But you would not get smarter in anyway.
There is an old Chinese saying that diligence can compensate for lack of talent. It means hard work can often make up for the lack of intelligence. For example, when I was in elementary school, I had a very good friend who was not very smart . She needed to think for a long time to understand or learn something. Classmates often scoff her saying that she is an idiot for being a slow learner. Even though many people made fun of her, she did not mind. Instead, she worked harder . When she had any question, she would come and ask me to teach her . I was very glad that I can help . When she finally understood , she would do a lot of practice at home to make sure she really remembered everything .
After a few months doing that, her school score made a big progress. Everyone was surprised of her performance. They could not believe what they were seeing. I was very glad for my friend. And I really admired her for her effort . She knew she was not smart but she did not give up . “Never give up on yourself .” That is the lesson I had learned from her .
This experience told us that even if you are very stupid, that would not define your achievement . Instead, if you are very smart but you do not work hard, you can not be successful . No matter how smart or stupid you are , just remember what Edison had said, “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.”
Remember this, genius or idiot could all be successful.
